CORDURA® Brand Takes Over Salt Lake City

Last week HM&P traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah to support the CORDURA® brand at OR Winter Market.

Leading up to the show, CORDURA® brand spokesperson and world-explorer Helen Thayer traveled around the Salt Lake City community speaking to more than 3,000 students and outdoor enthusiast. Helen also participated in a CORDURA® brand backpack donation at Escalante Elementary School, where the CORDURA® brand team donated 40 packs to the students of the Face of Fitness program.

Helen also participated in several media interview including a radio program on Access Utah and KCPW, a local NPR station. Click on the links below to hear recordings of the broadcast.

To wrap up a the week, Helen joined the CORDURA® brand team at OR Winter Market. While at the show the team meet with outdoor publications such as Backpacker, Inside Outdoor and Outside USA. The day ended with an industry party at the CORDURA® brand booth. The extravaganza featured local beer, food, prizes and live music by Jason Adamo.

Menu favorites speak their mind through the new integrated Dixie brand campaign launched by Georgia-Pacific Professional Food Services Solutions. Created by HM&P, Food & Drinks on Dixie® features popular food items as characters who share what they love about the innovative line of Dixie® foodservice products.  Through the campaign’s three main characters – affectionately referred to as Hamburger, Coffee and Ice Cream – customers get a first-hand look at what it is like “going out on Dixie®.”

The campaign has been very well received in the media. Through the outreach of HM&P’s public relations team the campaign landed on AdWeek’s blog this morning.

A Pet A Day Keeps The Doctor Away

I found this story while doing my morning client media monitoring. It made me laugh and that is always a good thing on Good Friday!

Wilcox Memorial Hospital (Lihue, HI) has a policy that allows visitors to bring pets to visit recuperating patients. Staff a few weeks ago were taken by surprise, however, when an intoxicated man took the policy to its illogical conclusion. He called in advance to say he was coming, but the front desk was closed. That evening security staff apprehended the man emerging from the third floor elevator with what he said was his friend’s horse. The patient was allowed to come out to see the horse before it was taken back down the elevator, but unfortunately for good intentions, it was the wrong horse.
