Attention Triangle Foodies. There is a new restaurant in the area that you need to try. Bella Mia, the Triangle’s first coal-fired pizza place, is now open off Harrison Avenue in Cary. We are working with the Guerra family, former New York residents, as they embark on their adventure to bring traditional Neopolitan-style pizza to our area. Members of the HM&P PR and Social Media teams had the opportunity to partake in this culinary experience a couple days before the restaurant opened. Continue Reading >

Giving Back
Last week at the annual NutriDense kick-off meeting, HM&P coordinated a service project – to give back to the community and have some team bonding at the same time. We spent the afternoon at Three Square a relatively new, state of the art Food Bank that supports Southern Nevada.
The team packed more than 40,000 pounds of frozen meat into 40 pound boxes for the local agencies. It was a great experience.
HM&P PR Team Finds Success in Tropical California
The Howard, Merrell & Partners public relations team recently returned from an outstanding showing at the 22nd SCAA 2010 Annual Exposition in Anaheim, California. Under sunny skies and giant palm trees, the team managed a fun-filled Welcome Reception sponsored solely by Gold-Level Sponsor, Georgia-Pacific Professional. The reception was one of the highlights of the event, featuring a cocktail hour and jammin’ band. Continue Reading >
The Durability Experience
CORDURA® has added a new section to their site. The agency was tasked with showcasing how CORDURA fabrics are used in clothing and other items. HM&P developed a simple, interactive solution that allows users to rotate models and click on hot spots to find out detailed information about the fabric being used in the clothing they’re wearing. Smart. Simple. Fun to use.

Mo Visits Orlando!
Just a few weeks ago, Julia and I had the pleasure of accompanying our dear friend Mo, the VP of Hygiene and Chairman of Cool at Georgia-Pacific Professional, to Florida for a visit to The Villages Charter School just outside of Orlando. While we were there, Mo also made several appearances at a Grainger customer event. Mo traveled all the way to Florida in order to help The Villages students learn how to kick germs out of the classroom with his touchless ways. To no one’s surprise, Mo was a big hit at both locations!

Part of Raleigh’s History
The Raleigh City Museum’s “Art of Business” exhibit opened Friday with a reception including live music, food and drinks. The exhibit features commercial art including signage, print collateral, packaging and advertising from some historic Raleigh-based businesses.
Howard Merrell & Partner’s own Senior Art Director, John Moore, the grandson of our agency’s founder, Jack Howard, helped complete the exhibit with several original ad pieces and copy from J.T. Howard Advertising Agency (our agency’s founding name). Early clients included Pine State Creamery, the State of North Carolina and Durham Life Insurance.
Several HM&P employees attended the event and enjoyed learning about our agency’s place in Raleigh’s history.
