While many agencies utilize interns all year long, summer is the time when the corps of interns at companies around the world grows, and this year is no exception. We have quite a few interns at HM&P this summer, including two in the social media department, Kimberly and Brianne. Apparently an intern at Cisco has created a challenge for all interns by calling himself the most interesting intern in the world, and rapping about it. Anyone want to challenge him?

The Most Interesting Intern in the World
Ready for awesome? OK Go!
I’ve been attending the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco for the last week, and last night was the official Apple party. The one where almost every developer and Apple engineer here, all 6000 of us, go across the street to the Yerba Buena Gardens, get fed, and listen to a band rock out. Last year they had Cake, the year before it was Barenaked Ladies, but we didn’t know who the band would be until we got there. There were rumors all over the place, but there wasn’t any proof. No lost iPhone with a memo on it revealing the band’s indentity. Nothing. Well, not until people started looking at the stage and discovered a piece of tape on a mic that said enough.

Footage from 2010 All Levels Stepping Contest in Clemmons, NC on April 11 dancing with my instructor. We did not win, but it’s very good to see my progression from the contest a year ago when I’d first started (see When not doing Interactive).

Rock On
Ahh, the quest for just the right piece of original music is always a bit challenging. And original music doesn’t get any more disturbingly original than Jonathan Mann’s music. Every day, he posts a new song to his site rockcookiebottom.com. He’s up to #82 with sure to never be hits like “Penguins Having a Party,” “Zombie Rights” and “I Love Battlestar Galactica.” Check it out.
