Convert Your Facebook Friends to Your Twitter Followers
How many times have you thought about how nice it would be to follow all your Facebook friends on Twitter without having to take all the steps to search, find and request to follow? I personally find all the steps to be a pain! Well, now you finally can follow your friends in one easy step, if you can avoid the notorious fail whale that is.
Twitter has announced yet another new feature that integrates Facebook and Twitter allowing you to see which of your Facebook friends are on Twitter and lets you choose which friends you would like to follow. In the future this same feature will also work with LinkedIn so you can automatically follow any connections in your network you are not already following.
Although this new application will promote growth in the Twitter world, it will surely cause more delays and more special appearances of my favorite cartoon whale. Unfortunately, the application is already having a little fail whale of its own, frequently malfunctioning, but Facebook and Twitter are both working to resolve the issue.
When working properly, this application will be helpful for those who have already built such large networks on Facebook to convert those connections to Twitter. The application can be downloaded here.

Thanks for this Brianne,
Surely there are others like myself who have been waiting for such a feature. I tried it yesterday (June 26th) and it’s still not functioning on the FB side. Somehow I could hear Zuckerburg quietly saying “I don’t want to share my empire.” When the dust settles this feature will be an interesting bridge between people’s professional and social networks.
Also I enjoyed the fail whale art; it reminded me of my favorite retweet: “IBM is afraid Microsoft, who is afraid of Google, who is afraid of Facebook, who is afraid of Twitter, who is afraid of whales.”
