Casino Night
We celebrated the holidays and a year of hard work at the company’s annual year-end gathering. It was casino night at the agency – Texas Hold ‘em, Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Slots.
The bar had a lot of activity as did the photo booth (I understand there is one shot of Chris Kroeper kissing my husband Ray), but the dealers were the ones working especially hard last night. Every table stayed active – $15,000-hands were won at the poker table (go Christina Harper and Charlie Lingenfelser); Sarah Findle caused one of the slot machines to run out of coins; Mike Ganey, Ellen Wayland and Nicole Curtis wore out their spots at the Blackjack table; and the craps table was especially entertained by the exuberant personalities (and loud voices) of Karen James and Laura Gross.
When the tables closed after a few hours of gambling, everyone turned in the chips they had left (if any) for chances to win one of seven prizes: Season 1, 2 or 3 of MadMen paired with a top-notch bottle of alcohol, a Kindle™, iPod Nano, Flip Ultra, and the coveted prize of the night (in honor of Howard, Merrell & Partners’ 65th Anniversary): An Autographed picture of Jim Cobb from the “early days” and sixty-five gold dollar coins.
The party went on even after the tables were closed thanks to Craig Fulton taking over for the bartender, and to the area bars who were lucky enough to receive the rowdy HM&P folks who continued on to those Raleigh establishments til the wee hours of the morning.

Here’s to a night with great co-workers and friends. Keep your eyes out for another post with pictures from the photobooth.

Great recap and pics Steph! Awesome night overall!
Glad you enjoyed the pictures. It was a great night — too bad the chips were not real. Ray was killing it at the poker table!
A great time was had by all!!
