Howard, Merrell & Partners snags five RPRS Sir Walter Raleigh awards

This Tuesday, Howard, Merrell & Partners earned several recognitions at the Raleigh Public Relations Society’s Sir Walter Raleigh Awards banquet, for compelling strategic communications through writing, event planning, social media, brand identity and audio/visuals.

HM&P's Cameron Reed, Courtney Beck, Anna Agnew and Rachel Kaylor accepted five awards on behalf of the company at the 2011 RPRS Sir Walter Raleigh Awards banquet.

HM&P took home a silver award for the effective use of the written word as shown through coordination, development and distribution of a Holiday Donations announcement on behalf of client, Butterball, LLC.

Additional campaigns recognized include the Butterball Millionth Bird Events, celebrating the production of the millionth whole bird produced at two of the client’s facilities and honoring a local veteran; the NutriDense Silage Web Moo.0 Contest reaching a number of industry “ag-vocates” via social media; the Precise Pet Products, LLC Holistic Complete Launch, an integrated campaign that introduced a new super-premium line of dog and cat food; and the Precise Pet Products Brand Video, “American Ingenuity,” which introduced the people and values behind the company.

The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards annual competition recognizes exemplary work by statewide public relations and communications practices that have achieved excellence in the field from small, independent organizations to full-service agencies.

These campaigns would not have been possible if it weren’t for the seamless integration of a number of the agency’s teams. Congrats to all involved!

 

Butterball and NutriDense Work Recognized At Best of NAMA

We received four awards at the recent Carolinas/Virginia Best of NAMA (National Agri-Marketing Association) Awards Program for its work with Butterball and BASF Plant Science’s NutriDense® brand. The annual Carolinas/Virginia Chapter Best of NAMA Awards program celebrates excellence in Agri-Marketing with awards presented to individuals and firms within the region.

HM&P Wins in Advertising, Media Relations at Best of NAMA

Howard, Merrell & Partners picked up four awards at last week’s Carolinas/Virginia Best of NAMA (National Agri-Marketing Association). In the Advertising category, HM&P was honored for its work with BASF Plant Science’s NutriDense brand. The NutriDense Silage “Profits” print ad won a Chapter Merit, and an aisle banner created for World Dairy Expo won a Regional Merit and Chapter First.

In the Public Relations category, HM&P was recognized for its work with Butterball, LLC during the 2009 Fresh Season. Both the 2009 Fresh Season PR Campaign and the White House Bird Press Conference received Regional Merit and Chapter Merits.

An exciting night for the agency, for sure!

Everyone knows about making a whole turkey for Thanksgiving or other gatherings. But folks don’t often consider using other turkey products to celebrate every day meals. Well, we decided to check out some different ways turkey could be prepared. turkey chili

We had a potluck lunch, featuring turkey products from one of our long-standing clients, Butterball. We had turkey chili and Mexican lasagna made with ground turkey; turkey sausage, peppers and onions; turkey meatballs in a sweet chili sauce, Shepard’s pie, turkey stuffing casserole, turkey filet mignons; salads with smoked turkey on top, and lots more. What a great spread!
Eating

As always, we enjoyed the chance to socialize with co-workers…and this time, we even talked a little turkey.

Celebrate Agriculture with Butterball This Holiday Season

The holiday season – or Fresh Season as Butterball refers to it – is undeniably the busiest time of year for our client Butterball. In addition to local celebrations and activities, including the Ozark and Huntsville, Ark. Millionth Bird celebrations and Garner, N.C. elementary schools art contest, the HM&P public relations team worked with Butterball to unveil a new campaign this year – Celebrate Agriculture – which aims to promote awareness of the important role agriculture plays in American life. Beck Promoted to Senior Account Executive and Senior Writing Specialist

Courtney Beck has been promoted to senior account executive and senior writing specialist.  Since joining Howard, Merrell & Partners, Beck has provided public relations and writing support to a number of the agency’s clients including Butterball and BASF Plant Science.

Agency Receives Two Communicator Awards
