Bagel-off taste test coming soon
After hearing things like “I like Dunkin’ Donuts’ bagels” or “I don’t see what’s wrong with Bruegger’s” this frustrated former New Yorker will host a bagel-off to prove that NY bagels rule. This Friday, I will be blind taste testing the vapid, cardboard-like bagels mentioned above against the crisp, moist and always delicious bagels from NY Bagel & Deli. Stay tuned and may the best bagel win.
Holiday Party…Casino Style
Mix a great group of employees, their significant others, a bit of gambling, a dash of food, and some drinks, and what do you get? … A memorable night.
Black jack, Texas hold’em, craps, roulette, and slot machines kept us busy. Then we all turned in our chips (if we had an left), and some of us went home with prizes!

Won a lot or lost every chip… it did not seem to matter. Good times were had by all!
High speed photography
Q: Who likes high speed photography?
A: Everyone.
You could look it up, or just take my word for it.
I took a few hours to dabble in the high speed arts.
And I think that we can agree that the results are pretty stunning.
Using a $15 fish tank and some elbow grease I got some amazing results.
Check out more on Flickr or just watch this space, I’m sure there’s more high speed photos to come.
Fruit is the obvious object of choice, but I’m looking for something different.
Anyone have any ideas?
Anyone?
Bueller?
When not doing interactive… Pt.3

Footage from World’s Largest Steppin’ Contest in Chicago on September 19. We took third place.
Focus Group for Socks
We don’t usually like focus groups here at HM&P, but this one was different. While pitching a sock manufacturer, we got a little group together and asked a few questions. Very insightful.
Flash Experiments from Grant Skinner

Grant Skinner of gskinner.com has a nice collection of flash experiments from 2005/2006. Many of them let you interact with the site via web cam and all of them are pretty cool. And if they’re cool today, think of how cutting edge they were in 2006.
Twitter Magnets

Here’s a quick diversion from whatever you’re supposed to be doing: twitter magnets. The idea is that you make magnetic poetry on your computer and then you can post it to your (or the service’s) twitter account.
