Old-School vs. New-School: Twitter Newspaper

It’s hard to scroll through my Google Reader on any given day without seeing some sort of debate on the merits of new media outlets such as Twitter and blogs verses traditional print newspapers and magazines.

While I subscribe to the Raleigh News & Observer’s physical daily, I also use Twitter as a real-time news source. (So do a lot of other people: According to this report, half of Americans say they rely on the people around them to alert them to news, and 44 percent of online news users rely on emails, automatic updates or posts from social networking sites to get their news at least a few times a week.)
